Berner International Named Among Top Places to Work in Pittsburgh, PA
New Castle, PA – October 6, 2011 – The Pittsburgh Post Gazette has named Berner International Corporation to its list of “Pittsburgh’s Top Workplaces 2011” – a list of the best places to work in the Greater Pittsburgh Region.
This honor was given to 85 Pittsburgh area employers, based off of a 3rd party employee satisfaction survey, conducted by Workplace Dynamics. In addition to being named to the Top Workplaces list, Berner also received a special award for having the number one benefits package among all of the other Top Workplaces.
Survey results from Berner employees cite that they appreciate the encouragement they receive to be creative and are given a great amount of freedom and responsibility. President, Georgia Berner, states: “We are especially honored to be included to the Top Workplaces list, as the judges are our own employees. Work should be fun. It should be challenging, and it should be more than just a paycheck.” To grow a qualified workforce, Berner puts an emphasis on finding people with a good work ethic who will bring energy and new ideas to the company. The company encourages employees to continue their education and training throughout their careers. Berner also provides health insurance (100% paid for by the company) to all full-time employees.
