Berner International Offers Easy to Install Air Door
Berner International Corp., a leading U.S. manufacturer of air doors and air entrance systems, has introduced the VSA and the VSB series industrial air doors, which provide environmental separation and energy savings for service and dock door openings up to 12’ high.
With factory mounted control stations, the VSA & VSB units are easy and quick to install and require no assembly. A durable 16 gauge aluminized steel cabinet and galvanized steel blower wheels make the VSA & VSB ideal for light to medium industrial applications of service, shipping / receiving, and dock door openings. Heat is available, but optional, in electric, steam, or hot water. Unheated units carry a five-year parts warranty, and heated units carry a two-year parts warranty.

An air door/air curtain is a machine that creates a stream of air to form a barrier across an opening, separating environments (cold air from warm air) when the door is open. This allows the door to be open with minimal cross contamination of environments. For example, in the winter, air doors/air curtains are used on loading dock doors, grocery store entrances, and emergency room entrances to minimize the infiltration of fumes and cold air when the doors are open and products and/or people are entering or exiting the building.
Berner took the lead in approaching the other air door/air curtain manufacturers to work with A.M.C.A. (Air Movement & Control Association) to successfully develop a certified method of rating air door/air curtain performance.
